The story of The Father Heart of God Foundation began on 25 September 2021, when Nene Obuba visited an orphanage home carrying a few items for the children.
During the visit, she met the children and listened to the founder share their stories and experiences. Some of the children had been in the home from infancy. What began as a simple visit became a profound encounter that opened her heart to the wider reality of vulnerable children—children longing for love, identity, belonging, guidance, dignity and hope.
Nene left that day, but the experience remained with her. It awakened a deeper sense of responsibility and a commitment to stand in the gap for vulnerable and underserved children and support families facing difficult circumstances.
From that encounter, The Father Heart of God Foundation was conceived.
Built on the conviction that “Every child is very special in the eyes of God,” the Foundation seeks to demonstrate the love, care and compassion of God through practical action.
Today, that vision is expressed through initiatives that support children and families through education, food and humanitarian assistance, counselling, wellbeing support, child-focused resources and other interventions based on identified needs.
What began with one visit has grown into a mission to help children experience love, dignity, safety, hope, education and the opportunity to thrive.
